Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.

Donna wasn’t sexually attracted to the doctor, nor was the doctor sexually attracted to her. She was normal, until she had greatness thrust upon her. She was not a genius at all, and all she had to rely on was her heart. She loved from the bottom of it and wasn’t afraid to use her only weapon. Her words. What you want is Donna Noble. What you’re describing is someone who is just there and who has no redeeming qualities about them except they exist. And for a lot of people, that’s more of a condemnation.

You can’t compare Tumblr users with the characters in Lord of the flies. Tumblr users are way smarter than all those kids. We would not strip naked as our first act.
